About Us

L to R: Bruce Roberts, Walt Moyer, Charlie Butler, John Larson, and Art Hiserman.

Moyer Motorcars was founded by Walt Moyer in 1987 with the goal of providing quality, economical service for all Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars.  We have striven to meet this goal while also remaining a personal, friendly company with that "small-business" feel.  Our customers are from all over the Washington, DC area, and around the east coast.  They are our greatest asset, and our best reference.

Walt Moyer has been servicing Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars for nearly 20 years, and has been repairing automobiles for more than 25 years.  He began his association with Rolls-Royce motorcars in 1984 when he became the lead technician at Brown Lincoln/Mercury/Rolls-Royce in Fairfax, Va.  During this time Walt received extensive factory training at the Rolls-Royce facility in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  In 1987 Walt struck out on his own, determined that he could provide better, more economical service to his customers through his own business.  This dream has become reality, and today Moyer Motorcars is a thriving business with hundreds of satisfied customers. The Moyer Motorcars shop is housed in over 15,000 square feet in the heart of the rolling Virginia countryside.

Charlie Butler, head mechanic at Moyer Motorcars, joined the company in 1995, and has an extensive background in British motorcars.  He is a Virginia native, and an avid British auto enthusiast.  His current restoration project is an early Austin-Healey 3000 convertible, although his regular transportation is a classic 1964 Plymouth Valiant Convertible.

Beverly Thompson-Warrick's association with Moyer Motorcars goes way back to when it was just Walt and Charlie.  She acts as office manager and general Lord Over Chaos.  An area native and "English freak" from JMU, she attempts to keep the office (and mechanics) running smoothly.

Bruce Roberts, is our resident upholstry specialist.  He has been working with Moyer Motorcars for much of the past decade, and has completed countless interior restorations.

John Larson brings over twenty years mechanical experience to every project.  His careful attention to detail and high working standards are a credit to the Moyer Motorcars crew.

Rick Beck, technician-in-waiting, choose Moyer Motorcars over  the military, so accordingly we have assigned him some very hazardous duties.

Art Hiserman  Retired from many years of service with the Federal Government, Art can be found rendering assistance to any one of the many ongoing projects at Moyer Motorcars.  His own current personal project is a 1950 Ford 2-door hardtop that is undergoing complete restoration.
